Mind-Controlled Car

Image
Developed by a research team from the Nankai University in Tianjin, in collaboration with Chinese car maker Great Wall Motor, the new vehicle was presented to the world for the first time on Wednesday, Xinhua reported. The car is controlled via a headset with 16 sensors that send impulses from the user's brain to the car's processing system. Spectators watched as the vehicle moved forward and backward; and was locked and unlocked all with the help of the power of the mind. The sensors capture brain signals and the recognition system analyses them, translates them into driving instructions and sends them to the car's processor.

EAGLE 360 TIRE

Image
The car tire can only move in restricted degrees for which its isn't comfortable to park or to overtake any obstacles without changing driving direction for this a SPHERICAL TIRE is been developed which will overcome this problem. A car with spherical shaped tire which can move in all directions. The spherical tire consists of sponge like groove design which softens when wet to create deeper grooves for aquaplaning resistance ,water gets ejected through centrifugal force.  Such kind of tire provides with large contact patch. The tire is allowed to move as needed, reducing sliding from potential hazards.  It will contain sensors register for the road condition by that it could adjust the speed of the vehicle.  It can overtake the obstacles without changing its driving direction. Less space will be needed to park as the tires can move in all direction. Rather than creating a normal wheel type tire, spherical tires with sensors registers which will sense the condi

Egg-shaped home powered by sunlight and wind lets you live anywhere

The sleek, egg-shaped capsule resembles a spaceship, complete with antennae and a layer of futuristic cells. But the striking design from Slovakian group Nice Architects represents a creative effort to offer housing solutions for this planet.             The ‘Ecocapsule’ is a mini apartment with all the conventional luxuries you would expect, but generates its own clean energy and can be situated anywhere, from city to tundra.            After six years of development, the capsule was unveiled to rapturous acclaim at a recent design festival. Nice Architects have already received thousands of pre-orders and the buzz has extended to celebrities.           The capsule marries form and function with stylish aesthetics. It powers itself through solar cells that cover the roof and a retractable 750W wind turbine, while the curved shape maximizes energy efficiency and allows for the collection of rainwater, which built in filters make safe for human consumpt

Robot with Emotions

Image
A humanoid robot named Pepper, standing just under four feet tall, and weighing 61 pounds. It is designed to read emotions as well as recognize tones of voice and facial expressions in order to interact with humans. With his array of cameras, touch sensors, accelerometer and other sensors in his "endocrine-type multi-layer neural network," Pepper has the ability to read your emotions as well as develop his own. He isn't a work robot, but more of an emotional companion for people.                    Pepper has his own evolving emotions which are influenced by people's facial expressions and words, as well as his surroundings."Pepper is at ease when he is with people he knows, happy when praised and scared when the lights go down."                  Developers admit that the robot may make mistakes, but says Pepper will learn and grow over time through his own emotional engine and collective wisdom gained through collected cloud
